Mike is an international authority, author and lecturer on risk and crisis management. His pioneering work in the field of crisis communications began with the Gulf Oil Corporation in 1979, where he dealt with one of the oil industry's worst disasters - the tanker explosion at Bantry Bay in Ireland. Since then, he has advised on dozens of major crises facing multinationals in the oil, gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and travel sectors.
He is the author of Crisis Management, published by Century Hutchinson, which is internationally regarded as a leading work in the field, Investor Relations (with Neil Ryder) and Risk Issues and Crisis Management (with Judy Larkin).
