Regester Larkin launches Swiss affiliate

Regester Larkin’s latest international affiliation was launched in  Zurich on Tuesday, September 12 when Switzerland’s number one consultancy, Farner PR held a major event attended by more than 150 clients and contacts.

The meeting was opened by CEO Christian König, who explained that crisis and issues management was rapidly emerging as a major priority for business leaders across the world. He introduced Mike Regester, founder of Regester Larkin and “a world leader in crisis management”, who presented a broad reaching view of how crisis and issues had  developed as a management discipline over the past twenty years and why it was vital for companies to understand that they were under far more risk from serious issues than ever in the past.

Farner partner Urs Knapp spoke about crises which had happened to major Swiss organisations, and how in some cases the way they had handled communications under the most threatening circumstances had actually enhanced their reputations.  These three were then joined on a panel by Tim Johnson, director of Regester Larkin, to answer questions from the audience.

The feedback later was very encouraging for the new service that will be available through the Farner – Regester Larkin link. Though many felt that Swiss companies were aware of the risk to reputation from a badly handled crisis, very often they had not set out to analyse reputational risk, had not set down plans for handling crises and had not trained and rehearsed senior executives to communicate in a crisis.

RL shortlisted for two PR Week Awards

Regester Larkin has been shortlisted for two PR Week Awards: specialist consultancy of the year and young PR professional of the year for Tim Johnson, our youngest Board member.


The specialist consultancy of the year award recognises a consultancy whose business is concentrated on a specific market sector and has performed outstandingly throughout the year, whilst the young PR professional award recognises exceptional practitioners under the age of 30.


Managing director, Andrew Griffin said "being shortlisted for these prestigious awards is a fantastic achievement for the Regester Larkin team and a well-deserved recognition of everyone's hard work".


The winners will be announced on 24th October at the PR Week Awards ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in London.

Expansion of RL's international network

Following a great year negotiating with some of the world’s best public relations consultancies, we are pleased to announce that the Regester Larkin’s global crisis and issues management network has made substantial progress.

We have so far signed affiliate agreements with Interel in Belgium, Lighthouse Consulting in Poland and Noesis Communicazione in Italy.

The agreements mean that Regester Larkin’s products and services will now be available through the affiliate agencies crisis and issues management teams.

Regester Larkin’s MD, Andrew Griffin, said: “with a client list including many global brands such as Shell, Standard Chartered Bank and American Airlines, there has always been a strong international element to our offering but now we have a formal brand presence outside the UK the scope for development is so much more”.

Further international development announcements will be made later in September.
