'It just isn't cricket'
Cricket, and its previously strong reputation as an honourable sport, has undoubtedly been damaged by the recent lacklustre world cup and the shocking death of Bob Woolmer, the Pakistan cricket coach. A world cup should be a celebration of everything good about that sport and a chance to strengthen its reputation and fan base. Unfortunately, this year’s event has had the opposite effect.

RL visits Australia and New Zealand
Regester Larkin founding director, Mike Regester, ran a series of crisis management workshops and masterclasses in Auckland, Wellington and Melbourne, for two weeks from 12 May. The events were hosted by our affiliate partners in New Zealand and Australia, Senate Communications and Scaffidi Hugh-Jones.
In New Zealand they were attended by senior communication professionals from a range of industry sectors including listed and non-listed corporations, government departments and local government. Sectors represented included energy (generation and retail), the oil industry, electricity, property development, finance and economics and the armed forces.
In Australia, the sessions were attend by CEOs and communications directors from NEMMCO, the Departments of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, Department of primary Industries, National Foods, Transurban and Australia Post.
