NASSCOM appoints Regester Larkin as UK public affairs consultancy

Regester Larkin has been appointed as NASSCOM’s public affairs consultancy in the UK. The three-year contract starts with immediate effect.

Regester Larkin director, Andrew Fairburn, said: “We’re thrilled to be NASSCOM’s representatives in the UK. The IT sector has been at the forefront of establishing India as a global trade player and the UK continues to be a significant part of the sector’s activities. As the premier trade body for the IT sector in India, NASSCOM has an exciting remit both in the UK and internationally. We are very much looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that will come with a busy programme of activity for this fascinating client”.

Regester Larkin enhanced several of it services and made a series of appointments in 2008 to help the consultancy widen its proposition to its clients. As well as providing issues and crisis management advice, Regester Larkin provides advice on a broad range issues – recent projects include organisational restructuring and planning applications to responding to the threat of new legislation or changing social expectations on public issues such as obesity, binge drinking and climate change.

Aligning with the interests of shareholders

The Treasury Select Committee in the UK has published its third report on the collapse of financial institutions Banking Crisis: reforming corporate governance and pay in the city. The report hit out at many areas of governance which the committee considered had become ineffective including the remuneration of failed executives, uninterested non-executive directors and inaccessible auditing and reporting. It also looked at the media’s reporting of the crisis and the failure of shareholders to scrutinize their investments properly.

Reputation management in the Middle East blog

Communication strategies for managing environmental issues
