Mike is a founding director of Regester Larkin and an international authority, author and lecturer on reputation and crisis management. He initiated many of the best practice systems, procedures and training programmes that enable companies to effectively handle the communication aspects of issue and crisis situations.
His pioneering work in the field of crisis management began with the Gulf Oil Corporation in 1979, when as public affairs manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, he dealt with one of the oil industry’s worst disasters – the tanker explosion at Bantry Bay in Ireland.
In addition to many papers on reputation management and crisis management, Mike is the author of Crisis Management and most recently, Risk Issues and Crisis Management, co-written with Judy Larkin.
